Three weeks ago we had our back lawn redone by a small contractor who bought the sod (132 rolls) at Cloutier Botanix in Hull. Two days later we had to exchange 12 rolls because they were rotten. Within a week half the sod was rotting: black, glistening rot. We had watered it exactly according to the Manderley instructions. We went back to Cloutier but hit a cement wall. Right from the onset the lady there tried to invoke all possible reasons why it would be our fault and had nothing to do with the definitely faulty product they sold us. It is obvious that we were sold old sod that had probably spent a few days on their lot and they were all too happy to fleece a customer and get rid of it. Manderley, who apparently guarantees their product was not much better.
In short, with Cloutier, you pay top quality money for sub-standard product. Once they get their hands on the customer's money, they could not care less about them. We will never, ever buy anything from that outfit.
